Karl Hale is one of the most recognized and respected tennis persons internationally with an accomplished tennis history. Since 2006, Hale has been the Rogers Cup ATP/WTA Toronto Tournament Director which is the largest one week tournament in the world with past champions Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Serena Williams, Chris Evert. Karl's resume includes being the only Canadian Master Professional and President of the PTR. In 2007, Karl was World #1 player over 40 ITF, in 2006, he was named PTR Pro of the Year. Karl has been the director of private clubs that has resulted in facility expansion, program growth and placed the most head professionals across Canada. Karl also has an extensive background in court and facility construction with Premium Courts (Canada’s leader in tennis and pickleball court resurfacing) and has founded the successful Caribbean Cup Tennis Series and Canadian Pickleball Series. He has also sat on boards and advisory boards for Wilson, Head, Asics, Helping Hands Jamaica Foundation, PTR.
Philanthropy is an integral part of Karl’s life and in 2006 he founded the Daniel Nestor Charity Event which has raised over $1,000,000 for North York General Hospital and Tennis Canada Go for Gold Fund, he also founded the Helping Hands Jamaica Foundation which has raised over $3,000,000 for education in his native Jamaica along with building 25 new schools.
